Ramayapatnam is a small village in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, India on the bank of the Bay of Bengal, part of the Indian Ocean 5 km from NH-5, about 50 km from Ongole and 20 km from Kavali.

ATTRACTIONS:

Light house

• The major tourist attraction along the Bay of Bengal, part of the Indian Ocean. A visit to the Ramayapatnam beach is an enchanting experience for a traveller. It is a tourist destination.
• People can find a 37m high light house here. The tower with lantern and gallery, painted with horizontal red and white bands. There is a report that the "oldest lighthouse at Ramayapatnam" collapsed in the waves; presumably this was the 1982 tower. However, now days the visitors are not allowed to climb the light house.  

HOW TO GET THERE?

• The fishing village about 20 km north of Kavali and about 50 km from Ongole.
• From Kavali or Ongole, you can get here by auto-ricshaw or taxi or local bus services.
• Kavali and Ongole are well connected by rail and road to all major cities of the country.
