I have found out that there isn't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.

The Lord of the Universe, Jagannath temple at Banjara hills, Hyderabad is dedicated to Lord Krishna (one of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu). The replica of the world famous Puri Jagannath temple is constructed in Hyderabad and inaugurated and consecrated in 2009. The temple is built on the lines of the famous jagannath temple of PURI in orissa, even the main deity is done with wood as like in puri. The idols of divine trio in Puri – Lord Jagannath, with his brother Lord Balabhadra and his sister Subhadra are installed in the temple.

The Hyderabad Kalinga Cultural Trust has worked for several years to obtain the land, build the temple the replica of the Puri temple in the heart of the city, Banjara Hills. Jagannath Ratha Yatra is the most celebrated festival in the temple.

ARCHITECTURE:

The architecture of Hyderabad Jagannath Temple is very much similar to Puri temple. The idols are made of Margosa (Neem) wood. The highlight of the temple is likely to be its 'shikhara' (temple tower), standing at an imposing 72 feet tall. Interiors of the 'Viman' would be adorned with a theme based on the 'Rath Yatra.' The walls would be embellished with exquisite carvings incorporating figurines of deities both on the exterior and interior. Around 600 tonnes of sand stones, brought from Khorda in Orissa, and 60 expert stone carvers were be used for 'Shikhara'.

The construction were said to be taken in temple premises only. The temple is raised on the platform which is 8-10 feet in height and this 8-10 feet portion is now being occupied as temple Office
